Ah! The obscure and hard to find Daicon III. This was the first anime made by Gainax, the group that made Nadia: Secret of Blue Water, and Gunbuster. This was the first parody anime (even though it was only an introduction), and it's sucess eventually led to the creation of Daicon IV. By the way, that is an RX-78-2 Gundam turning into Ideon on the right.

The sequel to the lesser known Daicon III. This was the second anime made by Gainax, the group that made FLCL, Mahoromatic, and Evangelion. This was the first parody anime (even though it was only an introduction), and it paved the way for Otaku no Video which, in turn, paved the way for everything else. By the way, that is a Z'gok in the lower right screenshot, and those are stormtroopers sitting behind Darth Vader on the right.

Jun Fudou Struggles to hide the fact that she is a "Devilman" from her friends and coworkers, while being forced to kill her own kind.

Excel Saga is hard to describe. The secret ideological organization ACROSS is trying to take over the world, one city at a time. Each episode, the original manga author gives his approval to parody a different type of show. Then the cast of insane (literally) characters proceeds to go about their daily business, which normally involves several of them dying and being brought back to life. This show definitely deserves it's 17+ rating, and that's just for the first 25 episodes. Don't even ask about episode 26.

Naota is an ordinary boy living in an ordinary town. Then a girl who claims to be an alien hits him in the head with a bass guitar, and robots start popping out of his head...

In U.C. 0079 a group of space colonies declares itself independent and begins a war against the Earth Federation. A young man named Amuro Ray struggles to protect the Federation ship White Base as it fights to transport a group of refugees to safety.

Infamous sorceress, Lina Inverse, teams up with Gourry Gabriev, a skilled (yet stupid) Swordsman, and they set out to make lots of money. However, it turns out that an army of monsters led by a mysterious sorcerer is chasing after them because of some treasure Lina stole from some bandits.

Lina and co. try to find a cure for Zelgadis's transformation, while they are being chased by the Demon Dragon King and his minions. Along the way they are helped out/ interfered with by Martina, a vengeful princess, and Xellos "the mysterious priest".
